Paradise Springs Assisted Living Community (PS)

Sodalis Senior Living's  philosophy for resident enrichment is to provide life-enriching activities and events for residents and future residents that will benefit them in every aspect of living — physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally, creatively, spiritually, and vocationally.

In order to uphold our philosophy and enhance our residents’ experience, community teams are always looking for opportunities to develop a robust volunteer program to increase the activity choices we provide for them.

Kailee Mills Foundation (KMF)

Kailee Mills Foundation is a nonprofit organization in remembrance and honor of Kailee Mills, who attended Klein Collins High School and was a member of Legacy League. This organization spreads awareness about the importance of seatbelt safety in order to reduce fatality and injury resulting from non-seat belt use. This foundation also supports families that have lost a loved one in an accident with counseling, monetary support and scholarships.

Kids' Meals Inc.

Since 2006, Kids' Meals has been making and delivering free, healthy meals directly to the homes of hungry children. Since inception, Kids' Meals has given more than 8 million free meals to food insecure children in 42 Houston area zip codes. Kids' Meals is a first-responder to children ages 5 and under facing debilitating hunger due to extreme poverty. The Montgomery County location delivers approximately 7,000 meals in a decorated brown lunch bag on a monthly basis to children in the area.

Montgomery County Women's  Center (MCWC)

The Montgomery County Women's Center has been committed for many years to providing a 24-hour hotline, safe shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy and legal services to survivors of family violence, sexual assault and stalking. By volunteering at Something Special resale shop we support the MCWS in the following efforts:

  • Shelter residents and their children receive shoes and clothing from the resale shop.

  • Transitional housing apartments for MCWS clients are completely furnished with donated furniture & housewares from the resale shop.

  • Shelter residents receive furniture and household items from Something Special when re-building their homes and lives.

  • Revenue from the store helps keep the shelter open.
